Our Achievements
The search for excellence in the areas where we operate has brought us a series of awards and recognition of our dedication and work in business management excellence.
Among the international recognitions in October 2009, Itaú Private Bank has been elected “The Outstanding Private Bank – Latin America”, an award offered by the distinguished UK publication Private Banker International (PBI), considered the most important in the segment. In July 2008, PBI also awarded the bank “The Outstanding Private Bank – The America” award.
In July 2009, it received the Euromoney Award for Excellence as the best Brazilian bank in 2009, awarded annually by the British magazine Euromoney. This is the 11th time the bank has received this award. At the party to celebrate the magazine’s 40th year of publication, Itaú BBA also won recognition as the best investment bank.
The conglomerate’s list of trophies includes “Best and Biggest Financial Conglomerates in Brazil”, from the “Conjuntura Econômica”magazine in the retail bank category; the 2008 DCI Awards for the most-admired financial institution; the “IstoÉ Dinheiro”magazine award (which elected Executive Director, Roberto Setúbal, Entrepreneur of the Year); the “Valor Carreira 2008” award; the Emerging Markets Sustainable Bank of the Year Award from the British newspaper Financial Times and rom the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as the most sustainable financial institution in the emerging markets.

When it comes to excellence in customer service, Itaú Unibanco has also been recognized for its work. It received from the Padrão Group, publishers of the magazine “Consumidor Moderno” and“B2B Magazine”, the “Champions of the Decade” Award in three categories: CEO of the Decade, for Roberto Setúbal; Marketing and Communication Personality of the Decade, for Antonio Matias; and Relationship Personality of the Decade, for Francisco Calazans and Luiz Lobo. These titles are only bestowed on those who have received the “Consumidor Moderno”Award at least 5 times in ten years.

Itaú Unibanco is one of the 100 best companies to work for,according to a study carried out by the Great Place to Work Institute in 41 countries. To be part of this list precisely during the period of the merger between Itaú and Unibanco transformed the fact into a huge celebration, since it reflected employee optimism with the organization’s proposal to emphasize people management practices focused on leadership and team development.
On the subject of Quality, Itaú Private Bank was a finalist in the 2007 edition of the National Award for Quality. The year before, it was awarded the Paulista Prize for Management Quality, and in 2008, the State Governor’s Trophy for itsmanagement excellence. These prizes are awarded by the National Quality Foundation.
The Down Jones Sustainability Index, as the only bank in Latin America which has been part of it since its creation.
